Ted Lasso

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐½ based on 3 reviews.

tl;dr: An utterly charming and incredibly well-balanced Anglo-American comedy mashup with a real sense of soul. Top work all around!

A rocky, goofy start gave way to a superb and emotional ending. I hope they get back to the football and the club a little bit more, but it's still excellent television.

I hate that it's over. The writing and characters had hit such a fantastic spot, the jokes were landing every episode, and they had, in fact, very much got back to the football. It was a phenomenal season, with some incredible episodes – the Amsterdam friendly is contender for favourite episode overall – and I would have loved another season or two. But if this is the end, they made it an end worthy of the potential. It wraps up beautifully, realistically, and leaving no person behind. Better to go out on a high then slide into banality. Top marks.
