tl;dr: A predictable plot, a fun cast, and some solid choreography create a perfectly middle of the road film.

Review

Spoilers Ahead: My reviews are not spoiler-free. You have been warned.

Someone influential had to have been secretly involved in this movie. You land Chris Evans, you got lucky; maybe that's enough to bring in Adrien Brody as the villain. But what the hell is happening with the cameos? Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, John Cho, Burn Gorman, and Ryan freakin' Reynolds? I... how‽

And they're fun cameos as well. In fact, the whole film is just fun. Evans is having a great time, Ana de Armas effortlessly matches his charm, Brody gets to ham it up a little, it's just got, clean fun.

Sure the plot is utterly predictable; you just need to see the poster to know exactly what is going on. And the setup premise with the inhaler and the air tag is never really addressed again – which is odd given the amount of foreshadowing. Just make it his wallet or something if the asthma is going to be immediately forgotten about the moment he's in any kind of danger. Dude jumps from a plane and doesn't bat an eyelid. And don't even get me started on how often his historical knowledge of plants comes in handy 😂

But you know it's going to be that kind of movie going on, do it doesn't really matter. It's light-hearted, fun, and has some genuinely great action moments. They really like sliding for some reason, and use it well. Again, it's all predictable and it doesn't stand up to close inspection, but eh, it works in the moment.

Not one to explicitly go out of your way for but not utterly terrible either.
